Bringing together the best live beatmakers in the Bay Area and special live guest performers, the West Coast Summer Conference and Boom Trap Beat Battle will be a must attend event for devoted members of the beatmaking scene and new comers alike.
To enter the Boom Trap beat battle, musicians can email email@example.com pay their $10 entry fee at the door (all attendees must be 21+.) Prizes include gear from Ableton, FL Studio/Image-Line, Lethal Audio, Sounbag, Purple Dialect, Damir Brand, Beats4Lunch, The Soul Dojo, Hercules Records and much more!
All proceeds from the event will benefit Oakland non-profit organization, Today’s Future Sound. Today’s Future Sound teaches music production to students in low income communities to provide both educational and therapeutic value to students through the hands-on learning approach & positive mentorship of musicians from their community.
Using founder, Dr. Elliot Gann’s, extensive training and experience as a therapist and clinician provides a suitable background for the Hip Hop activity group mode of intervention. Dr. Gann (aka PhilipDrummond,) has embraced “the responsibility of the hip-hop community to grow the next generation of b-boys and b-girls by ensuring their education venues are supportive of their development and culturally relevant.
